The McCombs Family Provides Rest for the Weary
At this year’s BCM/D Everyone Belongs Camp, at Skycroft Conference Center, for youth and young adults affected by disability and their families, Lexington Park Baptist Church (LPBC) Pastor Chris McCombs, his wife, Shawnetta, and their family brought a unique gift of music and testimony. On Saturday afternoon of the three-day camp, the family invited parents and caregivers to Skycroft‘s HeBrews Coffeehouse and treated them to free drinks and snacks, provided by LPBC and the BCM/D. The family provided an encouraging and uplifting time of music and testimony, along with free milkshakes, ice cream, soft drinks, and snacks at HeBrews Café, and gave them gift bags.

Disability Birthday Party Brings Joy

They never had friends come to their house for a party or give them presents. So, this is something we do a few times a year. Just to give them a birthday party so that they can open presents is special. It means a lot to them, and to their families, and it’s a blessing to us. We’re just thankful to do it,”
