What would happen if churches across Maryland and Delaware urgently prayed as Jesus instructed in Matthew 6:10: “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”?
What if we asked God, not casually, but passionately and urgently, to transform our communities?
What if we really believed God will do it?
That is our prayer! It’s also why I want to see you at The Gathering.
More than a meeting
The Gathering is our annual family meeting. This year we’ll come together November 9–10 at the Crowne Plaza Annapolis. Yes, we will take care of business, but business is not the reason we gather.
We gather to worship Jesus. We gather to celebrate what He has done.We gather to pray and to believe that He is not finished.
You’ll hear stories from churches across the BCM/D that are carrying the Gospel into their communities. You’ll also hear about lives changed by the power of Jesus. Those stories encourage me every time I hear them, and I believe they’ll encourage you too.
Why your church belongs in the room
No single church can reach Maryland and Delaware alone. The mission God has given us is bigger than any one congregation, and that’s exactly why we need each other. We are better together.
So come. Come to pray. Come to dream. Come because the work ahead of us is too big to do apart.
My prayer is that when we leave Annapolis, we will be more united, more encouraged, more equipped and more determined to share the good news of Jesus in the communities where God has placed us.
I hope to see you there.
