2025 BCM/D Formation and Health Report

By Dan Hyun

BCM/D’s Formation and Health ministry exists to help our churches do great work for God out of a deepening rootedness in Christ.

We primarily serve our churches by caring for their pastors. This care includes offering personal care, support, and prayer. We have also worked together with local Baptist associations to host regional Healthier Pastors, Healthier Churches gatherings that equip leaders with practical pathways toward holistic health.

Programs and tools, such as the Minister’s Counseling Support, the Pastors’ Retreat in partnership with Skycroft, and the Ministry Leader Health Assessment, have helped strengthen a pastor’s inner life. Our prayer ministry continues to be a source of God’s power in intercession as well as the soul of the intercessor.

In the year ahead, this ministry will expand through the Pastors’ Conference and a new Pastoral Formation Community, alongside other gatherings that foster growth and, just as significantly, a culture where BCM/D pastors walk together.

Dan Hyun serves as BCM/D director of formation and health.
