Dear BCM/D churches and leaders,
In just a couple of weeks, on August 7–8, we’ll gather for something brand new—our first-ever Church Leader Conference. And I want to personally invite you to be part of it.
As a convention, we’ve made a clear commitment to equip and resource our churches and their leaders to make disciples. This conference is a pinnacle expression of that promise. Over two days, we’ll focus entirely on encouraging and training pastors, ministry leaders, and volunteers to serve faithfully and effectively in the local church.
With 30 different workshops and main sessions centered on the “why” of ministry, this is a space where every leader—from seasoned pastors to first-time kids volunteers—can find practical tools and spiritual refreshment.
We believe the local church matters deeply. You matter deeply. And we take seriously the responsibility of walking alongside you as you serve and shape your community for Christ.
This moment in our convention’s life reminds me of a moment in the early church. In Acts 6, as the number of disciples was increasing, the apostles recognized the need for more help. They couldn’t do everything—and they weren’t supposed to. So they gathered and appointed leaders to take on specific responsibilities so that the Word could continue to be preached and the people could continue to be cared for. This wasn’t about adding tasks—it was about expanding impact.
That’s what this conference is all about. Equipping more leaders so that more people can hear the gospel and experience the love of Christ through His Church.
Every element of this event—from the sessions to the speakers to the space itself—has been prayed over. We’ve asked God to use this event to strengthen His Church, all for His glory.
It’s not too late to join us. Tickets are still available through August 1st, but we’re down to fewer than 50 remaining. So if you’ve been on the fence, let this be your invitation. Come be encouraged. Come be equipped. Come be reminded that you’re not alone in the work.
We can’t wait to see you there.
