It’s Summertime: Play Ball & Win Souls
On Sunday afternoons throughout the summer, Hope Baptist Church in Laurel hosts softball games at the Johns Hopkins APL fields from 4 to 8 pm for its church members, the community, and other churches that want to join in the fun. In addition to softball, they have other games such as ultimate frisbee, basketball and corn hole, as well as offering light refreshments and encouraging others to bring food and drinks to share. The games are an opportunity for fellowship between believers and community outreach.

For 31 years, the ministry, founded by the Delaware Baptist Association (DBA) and Greensboro Baptist Church, has been serving at these races, providing a strong Christian witness to fans at the track and in the adjacent campgrounds.
