Disability Ministry Homecoming Dance Brings Joy
On Friday, Oct. 24, Berlin First Baptist Church hosted a homecoming dance for individuals with disabilities. Partnering with nearby Fathom Church, the event was held in Fathom’s spacious renovated barn, located behind a cornfield — a perfect setting for what, for many high school students, is a treasured autumn tradition.

Faith Church Embraces a Season of Renewal
Just two years ago, Faith Church in Elkton, Md., was at a crossroads. Their attendance numbers were down, and their average age was around 70. Today, the congregation is experiencing new life, and they’re excited about what God is doing in their midst.
When Pastor Richard Berry and his wife, Sandy accepted the call to lead Faith Church in 2022, he did so with the understanding that the church would enter a season of rebirth.
Jack’s Baptism: A Story of Faith, Family and God’s Grace
When twelve-year-old Jack, a member of Lexington Park Baptist Church (LPBC), recently emerged from the waters of baptism, he thanked everyone, held up his hands, and yelled, “Remember everybody, God is on the move!”
He was right in many ways. Jack’s baptism is part of a growing movement. Disability Ministry Consultant Katie Matthews, upon hearing about the baptism, said she was thrilled. “Jack is the fifth ‘Everyone Belongs’ camper to be baptized and the second from Lexington Park Baptist Church,” Matthews said.

Gary Lambertson died on October 12, 2025.
I didn’t know Gary. I was going to meet Gary at The Gathering in Ocean City. He was excited to attend and proclaim his joy about being saved to all in attendance. He couldn’t wait to come and tell everyone how Jesus changed him from the inside out. Even though he was extremely poor and even though he had no roof over his head, Gary knew that God saw him and loved him. Gary wanted others to know the reality of a God who loved him, though many would consider him unlovable.
Ron Blankenship to be Nominated for BCM/D President
The Gathering, The Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware’s Annual Meeting, is less than a month away, on November 10–11 in Ocean City, Maryland. One of the key items of business will be the election of a new slate of officers.
Montgomery Baptist Association (MBA) Director of Missions Ron Blankenship, who currently serves as BCM/D First Vice President, will be nominated for BCM/D president. He has been a familiar face throughout the convention.
