This year’s theme, “A Man after God’s Own Heart,” will guide participants in deepening their relationship with God and living with purpose and integrity. The conference will feature powerful messages along with breakout sessions that provide practical tools and discussions on how to align your life with God’s heart. Joel Kurz serves as lead pastor at The Garden Church in Baltimore, MD. He is the executive director of ONE HOPE, a ministry focusing on planting churches in the poorest urban neighborhoods. Joel additionally serves as the Executive Director for the Baltimore Baptist Association. He is a graduate of Spurgeon Baptist Bible College (BA) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv). Joel lives with his wife, Jess, and their four children in their church’s west Baltimore community.
Pastor Dan Hyun is the founding pastor of The Village Church in Baltimore. He now works with the BCM/D to equip the larger Church to experience God’s formative presence with a vision for deeper reconciliation and mission. Dan is the author of “The Bible in 52 Weeks for Men.”
Jamaal E. Williams is lead pastor of Sojourn Church Midtown in Louisville, Kentucky, and president of Harbor Network. He’s a native of Chicago and holds a DEdMin in black church leadership from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jamaal is the co-author of In Church as It Is in Heaven (InterVarsity, 2023) a book exploring how the gospel shapes a multiethnic kingdom culture with Timothy Paul Jones. Jamaal and his wife Amber have five children. Parenting and ministry remind him daily to depend on Jesus, who fuels everything he does.
This session focuses on how a man can love and lead his family well, following David’s example as a father, husband, and leader. We’ll discuss how to cultivate a godly home, balance responsibilities, and model Christ-like love to those entrusted to you.

This session will focus on helping men to identify and address personal trauma in order to move towards mental and emotional healthiness.
In this session, we will explore how to be physically fit in life similar to David’s strength and preparation for battle. Learn how maintaining physical health equips us for the challenges of life and strengthens our ability to serve God with energy and resilience.
This session will focus on how older men and younger men work in partnership in the local church. When older men and younger men work together, they can strengthen the church, build lasting relationships, and pass down a legacy of faith to those who will carry it forward.
This session is designed to deepen your understanding of men’s ministry, equipping you to better minister to and support men in your church. We’ll look at how to raise up men of courage, faith, and valor who are ready to take on God’s calling for their lives.
This session will equip men to confront and overcome the daily temptations that they face. Drawing on biblical principles, we’ll discuss practical strategies for standing firm in the face of temptation, strengthening your resolve, and living with a heart that honors God in every circumstance.
In this session, men will learn how to manage resources not just for personal gain but for kingdom impact. We’ll discuss how to align financial stewardship and other resources with God’s purposes, empowering you to make a lasting impact beyond your own life and into God’s kingdom.
