OCEAN CITY, Md. — Messengers and guests at The 2025 Gathering, held at the Ashore Resort & Beach Club in Ocean City, attended a prayer breakfast on Nov. 11, sponsored by the Montgomery and Potomac Baptist Associations.

Participants enjoyed a hearty breakfast and warm fellowship before turning their focus to prayer. Leaders shared specific prayer points, and attendees at each table took turns praying for churches, pastors, and other leaders; the convention; volunteers; The Gathering; ongoing ministries; and missions efforts.

A particularly moving moment came when Potomac Baptist Association Director of Missions Fred Caudle, at the suggestion of Clayton Clark, pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Rohrersville, invited the buffet staff to come forward. Caudle prayed for the men and women, asking God to meet their needs, and that they would know the truth of John 3:16 — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Several pastors shared that they enjoyed the early prayer before the final session of The Gathering and the casual atmosphere of the breakfast.
