2025 Skycroft Ministry Update
By Emily Reedy
This year at Skycroft has been full of momentum—both in ministry and in mission.
- In 2025, we saw our largest summer camp turnout ever—an exciting reminder of God’s continued faithfulness. Across 12 total camp sessions (three sessions of winter camp — Reboot, nine sessions of summer camp — Crossings and CentriKid), we welcomed 3,249 campers ranging from 2nd -12th grade from 100 church groups.
- Seventy-eight campers made first-time decisions to follow Christ, and 40 chose to take the next step of obedience in baptism—four of them right here in the Skycroft pool!
- We are seeing greater growth and sanctification in our young people. Eighty-two students felt God calling them into ministry this year, and nearly 100 others committed to specific next steps in their walk with Jesus: repentance, turning from idols, reading their Bibles intentionally, stepping up to serve at their home churches, and sharing the gospel with friends.
- We were also blown away by the generosity of our campers, who gave over $22,000 to missions supporting gospel work around the globe. Those funds went directly to support IMB missionaries in Panama, Colombia, and northern Africa, as well as church planting efforts here in the States through SEND Network. This summer’s missions offering marked a 52% increase in the average missions giving per camper compared to 2024 – that’s incredible!
Of course, Skycroft continues to be a place where people encounter God year-round. We’re on pace to host more than 15,000 guests over 200+ retreats and group events in 2025, including groups traveling from as far as Kentucky and the Carolinas to hold their annual events at Skycroft! From youth and adult retreats to staff development, special trainings, family events and school groups, each gathering reflects the heart of our mission—to create space for people to meet with God, become more like Christ and strengthen the church.
Several facility updates helped improve both form and function on campus this year, ensuring Skycroft remains a place for ministry for generations to come. We added a new Gaga pit (a camper favorite!), completed major lighting, roofing, flooring and decking projects, and—perhaps most noticeably—launched a fresh new brand identity with an updated logo and look to better reflect who we are and where we’re going.
As we reflect on 2025, we’re grateful for the ways God is transforming individual hearts and minds with the truth of the gospel at Skycroft. For generations, this mountaintop retreat center has also been a place where churches get away to seek the Lord together, worship in unity, grow in discipleship, and find spiritual refreshment—refueling them for the good work God has for them in their communities and beyond. Thank you for partnering with us in this ministry—we can’t wait to see how God will work in 2026.
