2025 Mobilization and Planting Report
by Jamie Caldwell
The heartbeat of Send BCMD is simple: we exist to multiply gospel impact by planting churches, developing leaders, and resourcing congregations across Maryland and Delaware. Over the past year, that mission has taken shape in powerful and tangible ways.
Planting New Churches
Church planting remains at the core of who we are. In the past year alone, we have celebrated the launch of 13 new churches across our region. Each of these new congregations represents more than just a Sunday gathering — they are outposts of the Kingdom planted in neighborhoods and among people who desperately need the hope of Jesus. From urban centers to small towns, these churches are proclaiming the gospel, baptizing new believers, and serving their communities in the name of Christ.
Caring for Planters and Their Families
We know that healthy church plants are led by healthy leaders — and healthy leaders thrive when their families are supported. That’s why one of the highlights of this year was our Care Retreat, where we welcomed over 100 church planters, their wives, and their children. This event provided them with much-needed space to rest, recharge, and reconnect with their families and with one another. It was a sacred time to pour back into those who spend their lives pouring out for others. Planters left encouraged, refreshed, and reminded that they are not alone in this mission.
Reaching the Nations Here at Home
The nations are not just across the sea — they’re across the street. This year, we took a bold step forward in global mission by endorsing eight international church planters who are reaching diaspora communities right here in Maryland and Delaware. Through these leaders and their congregations, the gospel is going forth in multiple languages and cultures, and we are seeing the nations come to Christ without ever boarding a plane. This is the Great Commission lived out locally — and it is just the beginning.
Equipping Churches for the Future
Send BCMD is committed to walking alongside every church in our convention — not only new plants but also established congregations — as they seek to take their next steps in the mission of God. Whether it’s helping a church develop new leaders, launching a residency program, or exploring the possibility of planting their own church, our team is dedicated to providing the training, tools, and support needed to move forward.
