Prayer

Home / Home / Prayer

Two things begin to happen as believers answer the divine call to prayer.

  • God's people begin to return to Him in revival.

  • The church begins to be reclaimed as a house of prayer for all the nations (Mark 11:17).

Prayer is the foundation for everything that we do and is God's invitation for us to participate in His plan for accomplishing His purposes.  Praying for our nations soul is not just about voting booths.  This is first and foremost a spiritual contest.

A spiritual battle is being waged across our nations, and it must be met first of all with spiritual weapons.  God's people must pray for a great outpouring of God's Spirit on them, the churches, and the nation.  Then, when God has responded with His outpouring, His people will be empowered and motivated to do the hard work of restoring our nation's moral foundation.

"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land."  2 Chronicles 7:13-14

"To change lives we must first be changed.  We must pray for and experience spiritual regeneration, then recognize and accept our responsibilities as Christians to be salt and light.  If we're going to have faith in practice, we've got to get the faith right first."  Richard Harris (Interim President NAMB)

  • Persians of Turkey

Last November, there was a devastating earthquake in a city in eastern Turkey. Many Iranian refugees who were living in that city lost their houses and the few possessions they owned. The government allowed those who could afford it to leave that city to live in other cities around the country.

  • Willing to Risk it All

Missionaries Eric and Ramona Reese serve on one of the most dangerous mission fields in South America – the gang controlled slums of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Four years ago a drug lord in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, wanted Eric Reese dead.  But as the missionary worked with prostitutes, drug dealers and gang leaders in the midst of violence and danger, he gained respect and opportunities to tell people about his savior.   Don’t miss all four videos that are part of this story p...

  • Equipping for the Harvest

Consider the sower who went out to sow (Matthew 13:3,HCSB).  We know enough about farming to imagine an empty field.  The farmer gathers the seed, sows it in the prepared soil and watches for the coming harvest.  Around the Southeast Asia affinity group the fields are ready for harvest.  Who better to gather the harvest from among the vast number of unreached peoples than those closet to them, local believers called out by God?  One aspect of the missionary task is to co...
