Step-Up Men’s Conference
Torrential rain didn’t stop the Step-Up Men’s Conference from being a success! Men from across Maryland/Delaware showed up for the event on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Upper Marlboro (FBCUM). The event featured worship, prayer, barbecue, and a message by FBCUM Pastor Zach Schlegel.

challenged through the worship, teaching, testimonies, and prayer. They were also fortified by some great barbecue. It was great!”
Revive Us Again
Montgomery Baptist Association had its annual revival earlier this month at Olney Baptist Church. Director of Missions Ron Blankenship was pleased. “Revival was alive, and the Holy Spirit was active, focusing on leading the church to renewal, revitalization, and revival,” he said. There were a variety of preachers, including Brian Tubbs, Olney Baptist Church; Danny Moore, Barnesville Baptist Church; Victor Kirk, pastor of Sharon Bible Fellowship and Dan Hyun, BCM/D Church Partnership Team leader, as well as a variety of worship teams from MBA leading music. Blankenship said, “We had moving testimonies each evening. Many people came forward for prayer and recommitment. We are already planning for Fall 2024 Montgomery Baptist Association and Beyond Revival. “America needs a revival, and it needs to begin in the church.”
Moore added, “The revival was powerful and the Holy Spirit“s presence was strong. I also enjoyed preaching the word of God on Monday evening. The response of the people in attendance and online was overwhelming. This was a great time of worship.
“I also want to thank Ron Blankenship, Michael Mattar and Brian Tubbs for arranging this time of renewal and revival and the BCM/D for their support.

Nepali Women’s Conference Nepali Speaking Church of Baltimore is hosting a Women’s Conference from 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday at Middle River Baptist Church. The guest speakers are Sona Chhetri, from India and Reina Subba, from the United States.
Colin Pugh Accepts Part-Time Position with NAMB
Clinton Baptist Church’s (CBC) Pastor Colin Pugh recently accepted a part-time position as an urban replanting/renewal specialist for the North American Mission Board. God has used Pugh to revitalize CBC and reach his community in a variety of unique outreaches; for example, CBC will have a shred, bulk trash, and voter registration drive from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Oct. 14.
Fall Family Fun With a Purpose
This is the pumpkin-flavored and scented everything and crunchy leaf joyous time of year, and many churches are taking advantage of the cooler weather and fun vibes to do outreach. Whether it’s outside preaching, fall festivals, or trunk or treats, they all provide fellowship and opportunities to meet neighbors, invite them to church, hand out Bibles and tracks, and strategically share the love of Jesus.
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Rohresville, will have a Fall Fun Day from 1 – 5 p.m. on Oct. 21. The event will feature hayrides, face painting, moon bounce, games, puppet shows, make your own scarecrow, pumpkin carving, corn hole and more.
Middle River Baptist Church will have a Fall in Love With Jesus Family Fall Festival from 2 – 4 p.m. on Oct. 28. There will be games, snacks, hayrides, crafts, and trunk or treat. Register online here.
SonRise Church, Belin, will have its Fall Festival from 1 – 4 p.m., with a petting zoo, hay rides, bounce houses, pumpkin painting, and games.
Bethany Church, Columbia, will have its Fall Fest on Sunday from 1- 3 p.m. at Jeffers Hill Elementary School. They’ll have a moonbounce, games and an obstacle course.
Creekside Community Church, Dundalk (formerly Northpoint Baptist Church), has two upcoming events. On Saturday, they’re having a vendor and craft event from
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will also be face painting and food trucks. Then on October 22, they’ll have their annual Trunk or Treat with a petting zoo, snacks, food trucks, prizes and live music by Stauros Alive.
North Glen Community Church, Glen Burnie, will have its annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on October 15. They’ll have live music, children’s messages, free pumpkin decorating, crafts, two moon bounces, and free food.
