After the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Lord commanded the disciples to share the Gospel: Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20 CSB) and “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8 CSB). That is true for us still today.

In faithful commitment to this command and promise, our churches engage in missions locally, regionally, and throughout our country and the world. We serve in short-term missions trips and projects as well as long-term ministries designed to impact and reach people with the life-saving love of Jesus.

Currently the BCMD has entered into a partnership with the Kisii Baptist Regional Convention, part of the Baptist Convention of Kenya, for 2019-2021.  Our three-year partnership will focus on strategic areas in Western Kenya, especially Kisumu and surrounding areas, including Bunyore, Kisii, and Koselli.  This partnership will include opportunities for pastor training, discipleship training, orphanage ministry, and local school outreach.

Through our partnership with the North American Mission Board, the BCMD also has limited scholarship funds available for members of BCMD churches going on a church-sponsored mission trip.  Information about these scholarship funds can be obtained by contacting our State Director of Evangelism, Mark Dooley, at  Also, additional contact information for assistance in Missions is found to the left of this page.
