Josh Zello from Jesus Loves Preschoolers is back for part two of the preschool ministry online cohort! Join us online for 4 weeks of engaging and interactive sessions designed just for preschool ministry leaders! This series will equip you with the tools\, strategies\, and encouragement you need to create a thriving\, Christ-centered preschool ministry. \nSession Descriptions:\nWeek One: Using Storytelling to Communicate the Gospel\nStorytelling is one of the most powerful ways to share the gospel with preschoolers\, but how do we do it in a way that captivates and connects? We’ll explore the art of storytelling\, from the posture of the storyteller to engaging visuals and interactive elements. Whether it’s Bible stories or life lessons\, discover how to craft narratives that make the truth of Jesus real and relatable. \nWeek Two: Partnering with Parents & Caregivers\nNo ministry happens in isolation\, and that’s especially true for preschoolers. It’s all about building a community of support for the kids we love. \nWeek Three: Forming Lasting Connections with Preschoolers\nExplore how to form deep\, lasting connections with young children. Learn how to be a trusted presence in their lives\, creating an environment where they feel safe\, valued\, and loved. We’ll dive into practical tips for building trust and the significance of one-on-one moments in the classroom. The goal? Helping little ones see the love of Jesus through your actions. \nWeek Four: Preschool Conflict Management – Guiding Little Hearts Through Big Emotions\nConflict is a natural part of life\, even for preschoolers\, but it’s also a chance for growth. We’ll explore Christ-centered strategies to help preschoolers manage conflict and teach emotional regulation\, empathy\, and forgiveness. You’ll learn how to turn conflicts into teaching moments\, empowering children to navigate their feelings\, communicate effectively\, and resolve issues with grace. Get ready to transform challenges into opportunities to model Jesus’ love! \nDetails:\nWhere: Online—join from anywhere!\nWhen: May 6th\, 13th\, 20th\, 27th // 7pm – 8pm\nWho: Preschool ministry leaders looking to grow\, connect\, and be encouraged\nDon’t miss this opportunity to learn from Josh and connect with other leaders who share your passion for children! \nOops! SUMMARY:In-Person Sexual Abuse Awareness Training
DESCRIPTION:For: Church leadership\, staff\, and volunteers \nYOU ASKED AND WE MADE IT HAPPEN! \nMany churches have asked for in-person sexual abuse awareness training for their church staff and volunteers. Kris Buckman is now a certified sexual abuse awareness trainer through Plan to Protect®! If your church does not use an online provider for sexual abuse awareness training\, such as MinistrySafe or Protect My Ministry\, BCM/D is pleased to offer an in-person alternative. It is strongly recommended that church leadership and anyone serving children\, youth\, and vulnerable adults are trained in abuse awareness. \nSexual abuse awareness training is the first line of defense in preventing and responding to sexual abuse and sets the foundation for a church’s policies and procedures. Anyone working with children must be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of abuse\, understand the grooming process of predators\, and know how to appropriately respond when abuse is suspected\, witnessed\, or disclosed. All of which will be covered in this training. \nParticipants will be quizzed on the material at the end of the session\, and upon successfully passing\, they will receive a certificate of completion (good for one year). Certificates should be placed in the participants’ personnel file. \nThis is the first recommended essential in BCM/D’s Pathways process: TRAIN\, SCREEN\, PROTECT\, REPORT\, CARE. \nWhen: Choose from three dates: January 13\, May 18\, September 28 9 – 10:30 am\nWhere: BCM/D office 10255 Old Columbia Rd. Columbia\, MD 21046\nCost: $5 per person (Not to exceed $50 per church. If your church sends over ten people\, the cost will only be $50). \n<hr/> \nOops! We could not locate your form.

SUMMARY:Ministry Safe Webinar: Background Checks – What you DON'T know can lead you into a ditch!
DESCRIPTION:BCM/D and MinistrySafe are proud to work together to protect children and those who serve them!\nMany churches rely heavily on background checks as the solution for child sexual abuse risk. Is this heavy reliance well-founded? In this session\, Gregory Love will address the realities of background check effectiveness. Love will also explain other factors that further impact background check effectiveness that are unknown to ministry leaders: federal and state legislative limits on search scopes and reports\, state record purges\, corners cut by background check vendors\, and more. BCM/D and MinistrySafe are excited to partner together for this informative webinar. \nDate | Thursday\, September 5\, 2024 \nTime | 11:00 am – 12:00 pm ET \nREGISTER TODAY!
