This year’s event is a must-attend for every church in the BCM/D! We know that’s a bold statement\, but we’ve reimagined our time together with you and your churches in mind. Our goal is to care for you as you hopefully recharge\, give you valuable resources and information\, and encourage you to keep loving and serving your church family and communities. \nWhat can you expect this year? Here are just a few highlights: \n1. A Prime Location: We’ll be at the newly remodeled Ashore Resort and Beach Club in Ocean City\, MD.2. A Fresh Schedule: The agenda has a new look and feel to enhance your experience.3. We’re Celebrating You: You\, our churches\, are the focus of our two days together!4. Inspiring Stories: Hear about God’s miraculous movement across Maryland and Delaware.5. We’ve Added Breakouts: Every breakout session is designed with you—our pastors\, leaders\, and church teams—in mind.6. A VERY Exciting Announcement: We have a game-changing announcement regarding how BCM/D will be able to come alongside you to support you in training and developing the leaders and volunteers in your church in 2025. DESCRIPTION:Senior Pastors and Pastor Wives\, join us for this free event on Monday and Tuesday\, November 10th & 11th. You will be treated to a time of encouragement and dinner on Monday Night. On Tuesday Pastors will be encouraged through worship\, guest speaker Dr\, Larry Anderson\, four breakouts (see details below) and panel discussion\, all geared towards helping our pastors become\, HEALTHIER as they minister to others.\n\n\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						About the Speaker...\n						\n					\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n					\n						\n						\nDr. Larry Anderson holds a doctor of ministry degree from Biblical Theological Seminary\, Hatfield\, Pa. His dissertation topic centered on ministering to a community with the whole Gospel through its existing social services. The project assessed the social organizations of the West Oak Lane community and two agencies were identified for partnering with the Great Commission Church. The church has continued with this “Missional Living” model reaching out to the community with many ministries. As an assistant professor\, teaching Practical Theology\, Dr. Anderson taught and advised many students and developed the Urban Programs for the seminary. DESCRIPTION:Disaster Relief Training Grace Baptist Church  \nNovember 23  //  9:00 am – 3:00 pm \nGrace Baptist Church  \n805 Atlantic Rd  \nSeaford\, DE 19973  \n  \nCost:\nNew Volunteer – $30\nReturning Volunteer/Need New DR Badge – $20\nReturning Volunteer/No Badge Needed – Free  \nClasses Offered:\nIntroduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief\nOrientation to Recovery Team  \n  \nIntroduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief\nThis class is required for all new volunteers. The class will give an overview of the work of Disaster Relief and ministry with disaster survivors. We will also cover what to expect on a disaster response\, what to bring\, etc.  \nOrientation to Recovery Team\nThis class will overview the work of the flood recovery and chainsaw teams with emphasis given to safety. Although this is a physical ministry\, there are roles on the recovery team that do not require physical strength.  \n  \nPlease note: New volunteers must complete both classes to receive their Disaster Relief badge. Although training is open to anyone\, only those at least 18 years old and members of a BCM/D affiliated church are eligible to receive Disaster Relief badges.   \n  \nPlease complete the below form to register for the Disaster Relief Training at Grace Baptist Church.  \n
