SUMMARY:George Liele Church Planting\, Evangelism\, And Missions Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Southern Baptists set aside the first Sunday in February to celebrate the work and leadership of African American and Black pioneers such as: \n\nGeorge Liele\, who many acknowledge as the first overseas missionary from the United States in 1782\nLott Carey\, who organized African American missions in the 1800s\nS.M. Lockridge\, who was a faithful preacher of the gospel in the 20th century\nSid Smith\, who was one of the first African American Southern Baptist denominational leaders in the modern era\nFred Luter\, who was elected as the first African American president of the Southern Baptist Convention.\n\nWe celebrate the life and work of these men by recognizing that their legacy encourages us to send more African American and Black missionaries. The world’s greatest problem is still lostness and there is no problem that should unify us more\, because in the gospel\, God has given the solution. Together\, we get to share the good news of Jesus with people and places who have never heard the gospel.

SUMMARY:George Liele Leadership Institute Winter 2025
DESCRIPTION:MONDAY CLASSES:\nHow to Read & Study the Bible: This course is to help the student to develop skills for reading and studying the Bible. The Bible is so important to the Christian life\, that all of us should be Bible students. We should know for ourselves where the Bible came from\, how to read it\, what is its main theme\, and how to use its teachings in our lives daily. This Course will focus on the Discovery Methodical Bible Study Method. \n  \nTUESDAY CLASSES:\nMaster Life III & IV: This course is designed to help students discover and understand what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ. In Book 3\, The Disciple’s Victory\, you will focus on victory in spiritual warfare. In Book 4\, The Disciple’s Mission\, you will take the next stage in your discipleship journey by learning what it means to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19) \nNew Testament Survey: Gospel and Acts: The foundation for the New Testament is found in the four Gospels and Acts. The rest of the New Testament cannot be understood apart from this historical section. Four portraits of Jesus’ life\, message and mission are examined as recorded in the Gospels. The book of Acts will be discussed regarding the immense impact of the early Church’s thrust to change the world. The course goals are for you to understand the theme of each book and to find new ways to apply the life-changing truths to your life. \n  \nOops! We could not locate your form.
