Maybe it’s a lack of resources\, leader burnout\, or low attendance—these are just a few of the common challenges women’s ministry groups face. In this workshop\, we’ll talk about how to build a strong foundation for your group\, how to spot potential issues or “red flags\,” and offer some helpful resources to overcome common challenges! \nThe Digital Front Door: Why Your Website Matters More Than You Think\nKris Buckman\, Youth & Kids Consultant BCM/D \nYour church’s website is more than just a digital bulletin board—it’s your front door\, your welcome mat\, and your first impression to new families. A strong team isn’t just about filling roles; it’s about placing the right people in the right places. \nIn this workshop\, you’ll learn how to identify your team members’ unique strengths and wiring\, and how to align responsibilities in ways that increase both effectiveness and joy. Every generation is different. Every generation is valuable. Churches\, businesses and organizations are struggling at a time of necessary transition because they are struggling to answer vital questions regarding the generational differences within their organization. \nUnderstanding ourselves allows us to understand others and give them grace to be themselves. The better we understand the origin of our own values\, the more grace we will have for others in understanding the origin of their values. This legitimizes not only our own unique set of values\, but also the unique set of values of those who are unlike us. The goal of this book is to provide a tool for you to take this journey of understanding and grace\, so that we can maximize the benefit that each of our generations bring to the table. \nYou Don’t Have to Start a Disability Ministry\nKatie Matthews\, Disability Ministry Consultant BCM/D \nOften times when we hear the phrase “disability ministry\,”\, we think of programs and outreach and not relationships and access. You don’t need to add a budget line\, staff member\, or sensory room to care for families of disabilities well. In this workshop you will learn how to support families in your church with disabilities without having to start a “disability ministry.”. You’ll leave with practical steps to begin implementing immediately\, and a greater understanding of how to welcome those with disabilities with ease into the life of your church. \nStronger Together: Partnering with Parents in Next Gen Ministries\nKent Phoebus\, Lead Pastor\, South Shore Church \nParents are the primary spiritual influence in a child’s life—but they don’t have to walk that journey alone. Healthy groups make it possible for people to be genuinely known\, consistently discipled\, and confidently sent out. SUMMARY:Pastor Formation Cohort
DESCRIPTION:Pastoring is not a 9-to-5 job.\n There is an unending list of important things to do as you seek to serve others sacrificially. The demands of ministry make it difficult to find a healthy rhythm of life and work\, and can leave you running on empty.“I don’t know if I can keep up this pace anymore.” \n“I am on the verge of just walking away.” \n“The pressure has reached a breaking point.” \nIf you have felt this way you are not alone. \nWe welcome you to our Pastoral Formation Community. Pastor\, author\, and artist Ronnie Martin and BCM/D Director of Formation and Health\, Dan Hyun\, will provide perspectives and practices that will lead to newfound flourishing in your life and ministry. You’ll learn to develop a sustainable pattern of ministry that both honors the Lord and the people you care for while guarding you from burnout. \nOur cohort-based approach blends some teaching but will primarily be oriented around connection with one another with two half-day retreats (February 19 and May 21) that bookend shorter regionally based gatherings throughout March and April. Together we’ll explore practices that restore attentiveness to God and people: crafting sane schedules\, shepherding from identity rather than insecurity\, leading from prayerful presence\, and building friendships that sustain the long haul. \nCheck out more details including the regional dates and locations below. Space is intentionally limited so register soon to hold your spot. \nIf you’re tired of measuring ministry by speed and volume\, come learn to do less—and accomplish more of what actually matters. Your soul\, your family\, and your church will notice the difference. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n February Retreat\n Date: February 19\, 2026\, 9:30AM – 3PM \nLocation: South Shore Church \nKick off the Pastoral Formation Community with our first half-day retreat. Join Ronnie Martin and Dan Hyun as we take an honest look at the pace of ministry and what it means to lead from strength and stability. This opening session lays the groundwork for developing habits that help you stay steady and effective for the long haul. \n \n \n \n \n \n Regional Meetups — March\n Connect with other pastors in your region for a time of conversation\, encouragement\, and sharpening. These smaller gatherings build on February’s retreat and give space to talk about real challenges in ministry with brothers who understand the weight of the work. \nMarch 5: Weems Creek Church\, 600 N Bestgate Rd\, Annapolis\, MD 21401 \nMarch 10: Bethlehem Church\, 900 Bowleys Quarters Rd\, Baltimore\, MD 21220 \nMarch 12: FBC Laurel\, 15000 First Baptist Ln\, Laurel\, MD 20707 \nMarch 14: Virtual (9-10am) \nMarch 19: Paramount Baptist Church\, 13234 Marsh Pike\, Hagerstown\, MD 21742 \nMarch 24: Virtual (9-10am) \n \n \n \n \n \n Regional Meetups — April\n Take another step in the journey toward healthy\, sustainable ministry. These regional meetups keep the momentum going—helping you stay focused\, grounded\, and connected as you put new practices into motion. \nApril 9: FBC Laurel\, 15000 First Baptist Ln\, Laurel\, MD 20707 \nApril 11: Virtual (9-10am) \nApril 14: Virtual (9-10am) \nApril 21: Bethlehem Church\, 900 Bowleys Quarters Rd\, Baltimore\, MD 21220 \nApril 23: Weems Creek Church\, 600 N Bestgate Rd\, Annapolis\, MD 21401 \nApril 30: Paramount Baptist Church\, 13234 Marsh Pike\, Hagerstown\, MD 21742 \n \n \n \n \n \n May Retreat\n Date: May 21\, 2025\, 9:30AM – 3PM \nLocation: South Shore Church \nWe’ll wrap up our time together with a final half-day retreat—a chance to look back\, refocus\, and move forward with clarity. SUMMARY:George Liele Missions Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:George Liele Missionary Breakfast\n The BCM/D African American Fellowship (AAF) invites you to attend the 4th Annual George Liele Missionary Breakfast\, a special event celebrating the legacy of George Liele and highlighting the vital role of African American missionaries in global missions. \nThrough engaging visuals\, stories\, and testimonies\, participants will gain a deeper understanding of international missions and the growing need for African American missionaries. \nSaturday\, February 21 2026 | 9 AM – 12:00 PMSharon Bible Fellowship Church\, 6117 Seabrook Road\, Lanham MD 20706 \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Here's what to expect:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Video Presentation\n This year’s program will feature a powerful video presentation on the history of George Liele\, along with presentations spotlighting two mission teams: \nThe Africa Partnership\, led by Pastor Ricky Wilson \nRicky Wilson\, originally from Coatesville\, Pennsylvania\, experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ at the age of nine. This encounter led him to embark on a journey to discover God’s purpose for his life\, ultimately answering the call to preach the gospel. He pursued theological education at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas\, Texas\, where he earned a Master of Theology degree in Pastoral Leadership. Additionally\, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cheyney State University. \nRicky Wilson\, together with his wife\, children\, and a dedicated group of believers\, planted Christian Faith Fellowship\, a church located in Chester County\, Pennsylvania. Ricky serves as the Senior Pastor of the church\, guiding and shepherding the congregation. \nPastor Wilson currently serves as an International Missions Board Trustee for the Southern Baptist Convention. \nRecently\, he founded Africa Partnership with a clear vision to strengthen local churches across the African continent through education\, evangelism\, edification\, and economic development. Africa Partnership is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has been working in Africa for over 22 years in 14 countries focused on providing support for local churches and leaders. Africa Partnership strengthens local churches\, empowers leaders\, and plants new congregations through training\, discipleship\, and resource support. \nPastor Wilson and his beloved wife\, Shirley\, are the proud parents of two sons\, Philip Jordan and the late Michael Jonathan. Their family stands as a testament to their love\, faith\, and dedication to their calling in ministry. \nEssential Piece Ministries International (EPMI)\, led by Pastor and Sis Keiffer and Martha Bent \nIn 2000\, Essential Piece Ministries International was founded by Keiffer and Martha Bent. EPMI grew out of a love of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We observed an urgency for the gospel. The need continues to grow worldwide. \nWe now serve locally and internationally as short-term missionaries.  Our first mission trip as a family was to Antigua.  After returning we continued to work in full-time ministry in Maryland. Our focus is to share the gospel\, to train and equip through evangelism\, discipleship and training. \nFrom 2006 to present\, EPMI has served locally and internationally. We are Mission focused (Mathew 28:19-20).  We are thankful for the opportunities we have had to share the gospel\, give bibles\, evangelistic booklets and pamphlets\, leading Bible studies and mobilizing the church.  In North America\, India\, Taiwan\, China\, Philippines\, South African and Central Africa\, We want people to know\, and experience Jesus\, as Lord and Savior through: Evangelism\, Discipleship Training. \nCurrently\, we are focused on expanding our outreach work on a broader scale. One of the specific goals is to help pastors\, and lay leaders internationally to be more equipped. If they are more equipped\, they can better share the gospel effectively\, teach their families\, and congregation. They can better develop disciples in their local areas. Additionally\, we will expand our work in Evangelism and training in more countries. Additionally\, adding English as a Second Language (ESL) ministry\, hosting  Bibles studies\, and discipleship training locally and globally. \nWe trust the Lord and all the needed resources:  working under the power of the Holy Spirit\, prayer\, God’s labors\, and financial support. In order for the ministry to continue to thrive and grow. There is an urgent need for the gospel to be proclaimed. (John 3:16). \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Breakfast & Guest Choir\n Breakfast will be served buffet style consisting of: Scrambled Eggs\, Grits\, hash brown potatoes\, pork bacon\, pork & turkey Sausage\, bread & butter w/ jelly\, pancakes w/ Syrup. Juices\, milk\, fruit\, and an assortment of Danishes. \nThe event will also include a special musical selection by The Washington DC Choral Union. \n \n \n \n \n \n BCM/D’s AAF introduces George Liele Offering\n We will introduce the George Liele Fund that will be used to support African American Pastors and congregations who are involved with international missions. \nEach participant will receive a fund envelope and a memento of George Liele (magnet\, book marker\, coffee cup\, etc.).

This session breaks down apologetics in a warm\, accessible way—helping you answer with clarity\, gentleness\, and truth. This session will help you build rhythms that make Scripture\, prayer\, and spiritual conversations a natural part of home life—whether you’re discipling kids\, encouraging a spouse\, or influencing extended family. \n \n \n \n \n \n For Working Women: Living Missionally As You Serve and Lead\n You don’t need a passport to live on mission. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Regional Meetups — March\n Dates: Regional gatherings throughout March 2026 \nLocations: Various locations across Maryland and Delaware \nDescription:Connect with other pastors in your region for a time of conversation\, encouragement\, and sharpening. These smaller gatherings build on February’s retreat and give space to talk about real challenges in ministry with brothers who understand the weight of the work. \n \n \n \n \n \n Regional Meetups — April\n Dates: Regional gatherings throughout April 2026 \nLocations: Various locations across Maryland and Delaware \nDescription:Take another step in the journey toward healthy\, sustainable ministry. These regional meetups keep the momentum going—helping you stay focused\, grounded\, and connected as you put new practices into motion. \nRegister for an April Meetup Here! \n \n \n \n \n \n May Retreat\n Date: May 21\, 2025 \nLocation: South Shore Church \nDescription:We’ll wrap up our time together with a final half-day retreat—a chance to look back\, refocus\, and move forward with clarity. Join Ronnie and Dan as we revisit the lessons learned\, celebrate progress\, and commit to running the race with endurance.

The Rhythm of Work and Ministry – This session will explore practical ways bi-vocational pastors can manage the rhythm between their vocation\, ministry responsibilities\, and personal life while remaining faithful and effective. \n3. The Rhythm of Shepherding and Leading – This session will help pastors develop healthy rhythms of shepherding their family and church\, equipping leaders\, and sharing ministry responsibilities so that the church can grow without overwhelming the pastor. \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Friday\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 7:00PM – Dinner \n7:30PM – Session 1 – Rhythms of Abiding (Sustaining Your Walk with God)\n8:30PM – Dismiss \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Saturday\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 8:30AM – Continental Breakfast\n9:00AM – Session 2 – Rhythms of Leading and Shepherding\n10:15AM – Session 3 – Rhythms of Work and Ministry\n11:30AM – Commissioning\n12:00PM – Lunch \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Breakout Sessions\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Church Strengthening \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nCreating a Leadership PipelineIdentify\, develop\, and multiply leaders for long-term impact. \n\n\nIncreasing the Effectiveness of Small GroupsMove beyond meetings to meaningful life change and connection. \n\n\nFrom Chaos to Calling: Building and Keeping a Healthy Volunteer TeamCreate clarity\, culture\, and commitment within your volunteer teams. \n\n\nFrom Outsider to Insider: How to Turn a Casual Attender into an Engaged MemberHelp people move from attending to belonging and participating. \nWomen’s Ministry RoundtableBuild a ministry where women are known\, rooted\, and growing in truth. \n\n\nBeyond Sunday: Equipping Parents to Disciple at HomeGive parents simple\, practical tools to lead faith conversations every day. \n\n\nReaching the Distracted GenerationCapture attention and point the next generation to lasting truth. \n\n\nSenior Ministry: Do I Still Matter?Engage\, value\, and mobilize the wisdom and presence of your senior adults. \nRhythm\, Rest & Renewal: Practical Conversations for Every Season of Student MinistryLead students with clarity\, confidence\, and joy through healthy rhythms\, intentional rest\, and practical ministry strategies for every season. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Formation and Health\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nResting Well in MinistryLead from a place of renewal\, not exhaustion. \n\n\nSpiritually Intelligent LeadershipSpiritually intelligent leadership is the ability to discern God’s presence\, voice\, and activity amid the real pressures of ministry. SUMMARY:The Gathering 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Gathering is the BCM/D’s annual family meeting where we come together to celebrate all that God has done across our churches.
