DESCRIPTION:Disaster Relief Training – Shepherdstown\, WV\n						This training is part of the ongoing effort to recruit new volunteers\, expand regionally\, and continue growing BCM/D Disaster Relief. We desire to add new volunteers to this ministry that serves people in crisis with the love of Christ in a practical way. \nClasses offered will be Administration\, Assessment\, Chaplaincy\, Feeding\, Recovery (Classroom & Practical)\, and Shower/Laundry. While this event is hosted at Covenant Church in Shepherdstown WV\, all potential volunteers throughout the BCM/D are welcome. \nApril 11th | 9:00am – 4pmCovenant Church7485 Shepherdstown Pike\,Shepherdstown\, WV 25443 \nCourse descriptions are as follows:\n  \n					\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Administration\n				Administration volunteers manage volunteer check-in\, finances\, and daily reporting using provided laptop systems. In this class\, participants will learn how to process volunteers efficiently\, manage documentation\, and support overall site organization in a fast-paced environment. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Assessment\n				Assessment team members visit homeowners to determine how Disaster Relief volunteers can assist with cleanup and recovery. During this training\, participants will learn how to evaluate damage\, complete paperwork accurately\, and coordinate effectively with recovery teams. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Chaplaincy\n				Chaplaincy volunteers provide spiritual and emotional care to disaster survivors and fellow volunteers. The class will give an overview of the work of Disaster Relief\, it’s role in the larger context of disaster response\, and ministry with disaster survivors.
