October 19, 2010

Dear Pastors:

My name is Rev. James Fields and I serve as the Dean of Students at Montrose Christian School in Rockville, MD. On October 29, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., we will be hosting our first annual “Pastors’ Luncheon” in order to show our appreciation for you and to provide a chance for local pastors to “Come and See the Difference” at Montrose Christian School.

Furthermore, I also invite you to come before the luncheon and experience a day at Montrose Christian School by attending our first annual History Parade, which will start at 10:30 a.m. and will include performances by our Lower School as well as a reenactment of Martin Luther’s Ninety-five Theses by our Upper School. It is our desire to partner with like-minded pastors, like yourself, who have a similar desire to not only inform your congregation of the value of Christ-centered curriculum, but to direct them towards a God-exalting school environment.

At Montrose Christian School, we believe that each of our students are unique and a precious creation of a loving God (Gen 1:27), who created them with gifts and a purpose. Hence, we are committed to partner with families in the educational process; it is our belief that a child’s education is most successful when the home and school are committed, actively engaged in the learning process, and shares a common goal.

At Montrose Christian School, our philosophy of education is based on the belief that there is absolute truth and that the Bible is the standard of truth. Consequently, the centrality of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our course curriculum is the distinguishing feature as well as the foundation of the education that we offer.

It is our expectation that through this event, you will be informed of whom we are, our vision, and be better able to see an opportunity of how we can partner with local churches of like faith, such as yourself.

As an institution, we believe the following:
♣    We believe that students are motivated to excellence and thrive in a safe, loving, and nurturing school environment.
♣    We believe that there is an eternal value in Christian schools partnering with parents to educate students.
♣    We believe that character development guided by God’s absolute truth equips students for life and leadership.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Mrs. Marjo Hutchinson at (301) 770 – 5335 ext# 200
