Karla has written and illustrated thirteen books, three of which were on the CBA Bestsellers list including Love In Every Room and Down A Garden Path. Her warm devotional style of writing with a focus on faith, family and friendships, together with her heartwarming watercolor illustrations, has brought comfort, hope and healing to many women nationwide and beyond.

As an author, artist and speaker, Karla creatively communicates how God’s unfailing love and immeasurably great power is able to work both in and through imperfect people to impact and influence an imperfect world.

Growing up in a broken home and being legally disowned by her mother at age 17, Karla learned the reality of rejection, depression and defeat at an early age. She grew up believing she was destined to be a failure, but God had a different plan. Her story is one of transformation—from a life consumed with anger, bitterness and hatred to a life set free through love, faith and forgiveness.
