What is State Missions Offering?

Every year Maryland/Delaware baptists support Missions causes in our state by giving to the BCM/D State Missions Offering and by spending time in prayer for the specific missionaries and ministries this offering supports.

This year Maryland/Delaware Baptists will spend the week of September 13th-20th learning about, praying for and taking up an offering for missions work in our state. But remember, you and your church can pray and give to State Missions anytime of the year!

What Ministries/Missions does the Offering Support?

Ministries to pray for include the following:

	Youth Evangelism Conference The biggest Southern Baptist youth event in MD & DE, over 1000 youth gather every year for this exciting conference! Youth are challenged and inspired to share their faith in their local schools, communities, and around the world.
	Vacation Bible School 400+ Maryland/Delaware churches participate in regional VBS clinics and other training opportunities as they prepare to minister to children through VBS each year.
	Disaster Relief Preparing churches to respond to disasters in their local communities, and equipping volunteers for ministry in feeding, recovery, communication, laundry and chaplain disaster relief units.
	Language Ministry Conferences Multi-cultural events, conferences, and retreats that celebrate culture, encourage fellowship, and strengthen churches from 18 different language groups in our state.
	Embrace Wilmington Transforming Wilmington, Delaware through a comprehensive ministry strategy including: mobilizing local congregations to reach out to the community, planting churches, training, evangelism, and most importantly prayer!
	Girls' & Boys' Missions Camps Developing our next generation of mission leaders in these one week summer-camps through missions education, hands-on learning, and personal interaction with Southern Baptist missionaries.
	Collegiate Ministry Support campus ministries in 21 colleges and universities across Maryland/Delaware.
