As recovery efforts for Hurricane Sandy continue, Maryland/Delaware Disaster Relief volunteers are currently serving in the following venues:
Staten Island--providing logistical support for 280 collegiate volunteers assisting with flood recovery in New York City.
Long Island—doing mud out and chainsaw work in Freeport, NY in partnership with Colorado Disaster Relief volunteers.
Edison, NJ—feeding Incident Command and recovery teams.
Long-term rebuilding plans are beginning to be developed for the lower Delmarva Peninsula (Maryland and Virginia counties), New Jersey and New York. More information will be coming regarding construction opportunities for mission teams.
Please continue to pray for our DR volunteers and those who they are ministering to in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
