Leaving the Ladder-Pastor Lloyd Crabtree/Canyon Baptist Church

Lloyd Crabtree and his family know firsthand how short-term trips can ignite a life-changing passion for missions.  Crabtree was a CPA in suburban Atlanta when a mission trip to Hungry Horse, Montana, just three years ago resulted in his family moving to the town of 800 to start Canyon Baptist Church. They started with just a children's ministry. Then they began to lead the children's parents -- including a professed atheist -- to faith in Christ.

Two separate videos in this Missionary Focus highlight Crabtree's story from different perspectives. One explores Crabtree's calling to leave the corporate ladder for the radically different life as a small-town Montana pastor, while the other focuses on the profound impact his choice has made on the town of 800. Consider how these videos might awaken a similar calling for one of your members -- or encourage others to support those willing to make the sacrifices of full-time service.
