"I cannot imagine an experience that could be more rewarding than the week I just spent in Vermont," said Chris McNeil, first-time volunteer on the Vermont Flood Recovery Team.
"God assembled an amazing team! While we were a large team of 10 people, we meshed together seamlessly...these brothers and sisters in Christ will be my friends forever! We all agreed, we would rather be part of a large team and do two jobs per day (most days) than a smaller team and do one job per day. We met and witnessed to more people this way."
"Caroline Randall, Patty Wackford, and I all got a chance to perform chaplain responsibilities. We each took a day and prepared devotionals for all the teams at breakfast and dinner, and met and witnessed to "client" families."
"Kerry Hinton, our unit leader, was fabulous. He trained us, kept us upbeat, energized, and was with us every step of the way. A wonderful first experience for me."
"I saw God every day, in the hopeless tearful faces turned to hope, in my co-workers helping each other, in the prayers offered at each transition in the day, and in the testimonies shared."
"Thanks for the training and the opportunity!"
