Marylanders to vote on Gay Marriage Bill

Against the will of the overwhelming majority of the people of Maryland, the Legislature has voted to legalize same sex marriage. But the people of Maryland will have the final say on marriage as we have the right to referendum.

Maryland Marriage Alliance has already filed to be the Official Referendum Proponents to allow the people to vote and restore marriage in Maryland.

The rules for signing the petition are very stringent.  The only accepted signature will be the one that is on your voters registration card.  Not sure how you signed?  No problem, just visit the Maryland Election Center and enter your name and address and they will display how your name appears on your voters registration card.

Pointing Culture In The Direction of Truth - A committee of the Baptist Convention of MD/DE

Who We Are

The Christian Life and Public Affairs Committee is an entity of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware that is dedicated to addressing social and moral concerns and their implications on public policy issues at the local and state level.  Specifically, but not exclusively, these areas include family life, human relations, race relations, moral issues, economic life, daily work, citizenship, church-state relations, cooperative relationships with other religious groups, and those areas where the gospel and the churches affect, or are affected by community and public life.

Our Vision

As the Holy Spirit speaks to us in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, civil government has been ordained by God to maintain social order that the gospel may go forth.  When government restrains chaos, conditions are best for preaching the gospel, and God desires that all people be given the opportunity to repent and be saved.  Our vision is to serve as Moses was called upon by God to deliver a message ot the government of the day,  "Let My people go, that they may serve Me,"

Our Mission

Our mission is two-fold, to be salt and light.  We serve God's people to inform, educate and equip them to action in their families churches, communities, and even the public square.  As well we boldly declare the Word of God to the world that His touch may open hearts and minds to His good and perfect will.
