Special Guest Speakers

Jennifer Kennedy Dean is the author of numerous books on prayer, as well as numerous magazine articles and curricula on prayer and spiritual development. Her classic book, Heart’s Cry, has been named the signature book for National Day of Prayer. Jennifer Kennedy Dean is a significant voice in the current dialogue on spirituality and prayer. As the author of numerous books on prayer and a popular speaker and conference leader, Dean’s message addresses the real questions about prayer, framing answers that are satisfying to both heart and mind. The words most often used to describe Jennifer’s message are words like “refreshing,” “eye-opening,” “unique,” freeing.”Dean’s discourse on prayer demonstrates an energetic mind—imaginative, fearlessly curious, practical. Her fresh and original illustrations, her skilled use of the language, her engaging and warm personality combine to create an atmosphere conducive to open and uninhibited exploration of prayer and the spiritual realm.

Kim Hardy is an inspirational communicator and a unique combination of author, speaker, worship leader, singer, and Bible teacher. Her down-to-earth presentation style makes participants feel as though they've just met a new friend. Whether she's speaking about prayer, evangelism or challenges women face in their daily lives and spiritual walk, Kim shares with genuine and heartfelt sincerity. Her messages are rooted in the Bible and woven with humor and energy that make her listeners laugh, cry, and gain a new understanding of God's faithfulness. As a frequent conference speaker, Kim has had the privilege to speak to thousands. She has shared the platform and program with such personalities as Liz Curtiz Higgs, Michelle McKinney Hammond, Patricia Ashley, and Richard Blackaby. In addition, She has over 20 years of experience in women’s ministry. She has been an instructor at the Detroit Bible Institute, served as a consultant for the LifeWay women’s division in Nashville Tennessee, and served on several boards in her community. To continue to spread God’s message of hope, Kim has written several books: Spiritually Sassy, 3 Keys to Jump-Starting Your Life and Evangelism for Chickens. Currently, she is working side by side with her husband Pastor Dexter at Connections Community Church and as a missionary for the North American Mission Board. Kim and Dexter make their home in Ypsilanti, Michigan with two of their four children and Kim’s mom, Gloria.

Terri Robert has lived south of Strasburg, PA for the past 20 years. She has survived serious illness and as a result, adheres to an admirably rigorous diet. Hers was a relatively quiet life until three years ago, when an unthinkable tragedy in her local community, a tragedy for which one of her beloved sons was responsible, propelled Terri into the public’s eye. Terri will share her message of God’s grace, given and received, and the peace, strength and joy that comes from totally trusting in the Lord.
