Laurie Register is executive director-treasurer of South Carolina Woman's Missionary Union, serving as the executive officer with responsibility for administration, program, and development of the work of Woman's Missionary Union in South Carolina. A native of Alachua, Florida, she came to South Carolina in August, 1993, serving in several roles until assuming her current role in January, 2009. Laurie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Masters of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to missions, Laurie enjoys traveling, bowling, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Wendy Mindte has over 24 years of Ministry Evangelism experience both stateside and abroad to countries including: the United States, Haiti, Egypt, Israel, Brazil, Panama and Venezuela. Wendy currently serves as Strategic Initiatives Coordinator / Missionary for Ministry Evangelism, Poverty, ESL for the Mid-Atlantic Baptist Network (BCM/D). She is a conference speaker and consultant to pastors, church leaders, women’s ministries and children’s groups. Wendy’s passion is to equip believers to successfully reach their community for Christ. With husband, Pastor Bryan and their 3 children, the Mindtes have recently set out on the new adventure of becoming alpaca farmers.
Worship Led by
Sherrie McKay has been the Minister of Music at Bethany Church, Ellicott City, Maryland for more than 20 years, and enjoys developing the worship ministry and adding other art forms to the worship experience and outreach ministries. Sherrie has written and co-written many original productions which include four Children’s Musicals, three Easter Dramatic Musicals and seven Christmas Dramatic Musicals. Sherrie is passionate about using music, the arts and speaking to build up the Body of Christ and to tell the world about Jesus. She is married to husband Brendan and has three children; Jessica, Jonny and Jackson. Please pray for Sherrie and her music and arts ministry team as they travel to India in February 2015 to share the Gospel.
