Guest Speakers Included:

  • KEVIN EZELL serves as the President of the North American Mission Board, providing strategic vision, direction, and leadership as NAMB works with state partners in helping Southern Baptists to reach North America through evangelism and evangelistic church-planting.
  • DENNIS KIM is Senior Pastor of Global Mission Church in Silver Spring, Maryland and has served in Maryland since 1993. He was awarded an M.Div. at Chongshin Theological Seminary, Seoul, Korea and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. He is an adjunct professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Mid-Western Baptist Theological Seminary. Dennis is married to Julie and has two children.
  • CHUCK LAWLESS is Vice-President for Global Theological Advance of the International Mission Board. He was awarded an M.Div. and a Ph.D. in Evangelism/Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., where he also formerly served as professor and dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism. Prior to that, he was pastor of two Ohio churches. A conference leader and author of several books, including Spiritual Warfare: Biblical Truth for Victory, Discipled Warriors, Putting on the Armor, and Mentor, Dr. Lawless has a strong interest in discipleship and mentoring.
  • DAVID LEE was elected as Executive Director of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware in 2000. He has a total of 18 years of service with BCM/D. His pastoral ministry experience has included serving churches in Mississippi and Maryland prior to joining the BCM/D staff.
  • MIKE MCKINLEY was raised in suburban Philadelphia. He received a B.A. in religion and classics from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. In 2004, Mike was brought onto the pastoral staff at Capitol Hill Baptist Church as a church planter. In 2005, he brought a small group of people from CHBC to Guilford Baptist Church in Sterling, Va., in order to help revitalize the church’s ministry. He has served as Guilford’s pastor since 2005.
  • RICHARD ROSS is husband to LaJuana, who has joined him in a lifetime of loving teenagers. They are parents of college student Clayton. Richard served as youth minister for thirty years and now is a volunteer with teenagers and parents at Wedgwood Baptist in Fort Worth, Texas. Richard is professor to the next generation of youth ministers at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. Since its inception, Richard has served as the spokesperson for the international True Love Waits movement.
  • KEN STALLS is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Gardner-Webb University and Southeastern Seminary with a B.A. in religion and Master of Divinity in languages. Ken is the former senior pastor of churches in Zebulon, N.C. and Newport News, Va. He also is a former Director of Missions for Little River Association in N.C. Currently he is serving as Senior Pastor of South End Baptist Church in Frederick, Md., and is just completing a second term as president of the BCM/D.
  • DR. T. VAUGHN WALKER is presently Senior Pastor of First Gethsemane Baptist Church, Louisville, Ky. Additionally, Dr. Walker is Professor of Black Church Studies, WMU Professor of Christian Ministries (endowed chair), and Director of the Black Church Leadership Doctor of Ministry and Black Church Studies Ph.D. programs at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In the over 150-year history of the seminary, he is the first African American to be tenured and to obtain the rank of Full Professor.

Dr. Jeff Iorg is president of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Northwest Baptist Convention for almost ten years after serving as the founding pastor of Greater Gresham Baptist Church in Gresham, Ore., and as a pastor in Missouri and Texas.

Steve Wright is the Pastor of Family Discipleship at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C.  He is the author of  “reThink: Is Your Student Ministry Working?” and “ApParent Privilege” and is one of the primary contributors to the Treasuring Christ Curriculum.

Jerome Gay Jr. is a member of the Acts 29 Network, Founder of the Bless the Future Initiative and Lead and Founding Pastor of Vision Church in Raleigh, N.C. He has a vision to see gospel-centered churches and leaders raised up within the urban context and sent out to plant other gospel-centered churches.
