The 2011 Boys Camp was held at Camp WO-ME-TO on August 4-7. 19 Churches sent a total of 52 campers this year to learn about foreign mission from guest speakers, John & Denise McDonald, who have just returned from a three year assignment on the foreign mission field in the Middle East.
In addition to our 52 campers, there were 9 counselors in training (CIT) and 15 counselors in attendance. 2 campers made decisions to accept Christ as their personal Savior and 1 camper proclaim Jesus as his Lord through baptism on August 13.
All campers enjoyed a fun time in activities such as canoeing, swimming, archery, crafts, hiking, brisking down the waterslide and much more.
Nightly devotions covered topics such as;
Anger: "Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools." Ecclesiastes 7:9
Pray for the Lost: "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation...behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17.
Pray without ceasing: "Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks." 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18.
Please pray for our campers as they continue to grow in discipleship and learn about being on mission for Christ.
